AlgoMirror Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the AlgoMirror mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. About T.Webb Ltd and AlgoMirror

AlgoMirror is operated by T.Webb Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. The App provides digital wellbeing analysis by capturing frames from your device screen at intervals during a 60-second recording period and using artificial intelligence to analyze the content and generate a digital wellbeing score related to your algorithm consumption patterns.

3. Age Restrictions

You must be at least 9 years of age to use AlgoMirror. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. Screen Recording and Data Responsibility

IMPORTANT: You are solely responsible for all content captured during screen recording sessions. By using AlgoMirror, you acknowledge that:

You control what appears on your screen during recording periods
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record any content displayed
You will not intentionally capture sensitive, private, or inappropriate content
You will not capture content belonging to others without permission
You will not use the App to record banking information, passwords, private messages, or other confidential data
Any content captured outside of social media feeds (due to switching apps or activities) is your responsibility

5. How AlgoMirror Works

AlgoMirror captures screen frames at intervals during a 60-second recording period. This data is:

Sent to OpenAI's systems for artificial intelligence analysis
NOT stored or retained by T.Webb Ltd or OpenAI after analysis
Used solely to generate your digital wellbeing score
Analysis results stored locally on your device only

6. Third-Party AI Processing

Your screen recording data is processed by OpenAI's artificial intelligence systems. By using AlgoMirror, you consent to this processing. OpenAI's own terms of service and privacy policies apply to this processing. We do not control OpenAI's data handling practices.

7. Data Storage and Retention

T.Webb Ltd operates a privacy-first approach:

Screen recordings are NOT stored by us or OpenAI
Analysis results are stored locally on your device only
We store only your email address via Google Firebase for authentication
You can delete all local data from your device at any time
We may collect anonymized usage analytics in future updates

8. User Accounts and Authentication

AlgoMirror uses Google Firebase for user authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or gain unauthorized access to the App or our systems
Record content that violates others' privacy, intellectual property, or legal rights
Use the App to capture or analyze illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

10. Intellectual Property

The AlgoMirror app and its original content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

11. AI Analysis Disclaimers

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS:

AlgoMirror's AI analysis is for informational and entertainment purposes only
Digital wellbeing scores are not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice
Results should not be used to diagnose or treat any condition
AI analysis may be inaccurate, incomplete, or subject to algorithmic bias
Consult qualified professionals for any mental health or wellbeing concerns
We make no guarantees about the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated insights

12. Purchase Terms

AlgoMirror is available as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store. All purchases are subject to Apple's Terms of Service and refund policies. We do not process payments directly.

13. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY CONTENT YOU CHOOSE TO RECORD
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR OPENAI'S DATA PROCESSING OR AI ANALYSIS ACCURACY
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIRD-PARTY CONTENT, WEBSITES, OR SERVICES

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold T.Webb Ltd harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of AlgoMirror
Content you record or submit for analysis
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to AlgoMirror at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App.

16. International Use and Compliance

While AlgoMirror may be available internationally, it is operated from the United Kingdom. Users outside the UK are responsible for compliance with their local laws. Some features may not be available in all jurisdictions.

17. GDPR and Privacy Rights

For users in the European Union and UK, you have rights under data protection law including access, rectification, erasure, and portability of your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

19. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted in the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
